• Assembles electronic and electromechanical products such as electric motors, computers, electronic control devices, and linear motors
• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports
• Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering, and powered screw drivers
• Pack finished products for shipment and label components.
• Correct defects.
• Test product to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Populate or modify/replace components on printed circuit board assemblies.
• Test functional performance.
• Handle all phases of structural aluminum product assembly.
• Operate cold saw, panel saw, drill press and tapping machine.
• Operate CRT to access mainframe computer to check on customer order status, inventory, etc.
• Understand and keep organized all paperwork dealing with customer orders
• Construct containers suitable for shipping the products.
• Standard work and ad hoc responsibilities as defined by organizational priorities and standards.
• Workflow determined by internal and external customer requirements.
• Self-motivated and the ability to re-prioritize tasks to meet organizational needs
• Able to wear multiple hats in a lean environment
• Prior manufacturing experience is required
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills in a rapidly changing business environment
• Strong team player and able to collaborate with people across different functions
• Strong outlook towards safety and quality
• Ability to stay organized and keep work area clean
