Job Description:
Job Description Summary: Traditional Medicinals is seeking a
talented team member with experience in the field of product
development and process engineering to lead our portfolio of
product renovation projects, support international product
expansion, and troubleshoot quality and manufacturing issues. S/he
will optimize our dietary supplement and food formulations,
collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless
transition of formulations from bench to manufacturing, work with
agility to support on-going business needs, and complete projects
on time and within budget. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

needs evolve. Learn and share best practices to expand R&D

project team. Work well under pressure, changes, and complexity.
Complete projects on time and within budgets to drive business
results. As product renovator, work cross-functionally to develop
project scopes, deliverables, resources, timelines, reformulate
products in partnership with Herbal Formulator and Regulatory, and
Quality to address herb supply shortage, herb quality variability,
and improve consumer product experiences. Additionally, you will
update product specifications and technical labeling, and
participate in pilot trials. As process technologist, troubleshoot
quality and manufacturing issues; design experimental trials;
evaluate the quality of new packaging materials; investigate
relevance of new technologies to the business. As technical
coordinator for international product expansion, coordinate
x-functional technical activities and create technical labeling.
Develop policies and procedures as needed within area of
responsibility. Monitor on-going projects to assure project
objectives are being met and that timelines are being adhered to.
Update supervisor and team on project progress, findings, and
challenges weekly and as needed. Minimum Requirements : Experience:
10 year experience in product development. Extensive experience in
food manufacturing processes and/or process engineering. Experience
in project management. Experience in dietary supplement products.
Education: BS in chemistry, food science and processing, or related
scientific discipline. MS/PhD, Engineering certification, PMP
certification, and/or Herbal training a plus. Knowledge: Excellent
knowledge in food product development Good knowledge in sensory
evaluation Good knowledge of good manufacturing practices (cGMP)
and regulations for dietary supplements (DSHEA). Knowledge of
herbalism a plus Knowledge of packaging engineering a plus Skills &
Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written
communication skills. Excellent organization, prioritization, and
time management skills. Ability to facilitate and collaborate cross
functional teams. Must be self-motivated, team-oriented, and
results-driven. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office computer
skills. Travel Requirements (if any) Able to travel up to 10%.
Physical/Mental Requirements : Ability to read, analyze and
interpret business documents Ability to communicate via speech,
writing and hearing with employees, regulatory agencies, or members
of the business community This is primarily a desk job with
constant sitting and keyboarding. Must be able to sit and type in
an ergonomically correct position Must be able to stand; walk;
reach with hands and arms Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30
pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception and the ability to focus. Work Environment : Employee
works in a busy administrative office with moderate noise as well
as visiting other offices, warehouses, production environments and
