Where you will work: This position is based out of the Astound's Garberville, CA office.A Day in the Life of the Broadband Technician Lead:Residential and Commercial install, service/repair, and disconnects* (data, video, phone) on customer premisesAssist supervisors and technicians with escalations and specialized work ordersEnsure/record correct RF and signal levels within specificationsCommunication with leadership and dispatch as neededCustomer educationOperate company vehicle in safe and responsible mannerParticipation in a 24/7 on-call rotationOther duties as assignedWhat You Bring to the Table:2 years experience as a technician in the telecommunications industry (6 months satisfactory metrics with Hybrid Fiber- Coaxial (HFC) network experience preferred)Proficiency in problem-solving, time management, and basic computer skillsExperience with power tools, reading and interpreting NIMS and AutoCAD mapsMust possess a working knowledge of phone/IP networks and POS systems, and ability to effectively communicate the differentiation Strong customer service skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively, both independently and as part of a teamMust possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record compliant with the company policyEducation & Certifications: High school diploma or equivalentWe're Proud to Offer a Comprehensive Benefits Package Including:401k retirement plan, with employer matchInsurance options including: medical, dental, vision, life and STD insurancePaid Time Off/Vacation: Starting at 80 hours per year, and increases based on tenure with the organizationFloating Holiday: 40 hours per yearPaid Holidays: 7 days per yearPaid Sick Leave: Astound allows a number of paid sick hours per calendar year and varies based on state and/or local lawsTuition reimbursement program ( after 1 year of employment up to $4,000.00 per calendar year)Employee discount program ( If in our serviceable area)*Benefits listed above are for regular full-time positions The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
