Generalist Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and
detail-oriented HR Generalist contractor to join our team in South
San Francisco, CA. The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role
in supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR team, with a
focus on interview scheduling, onboarding, offboarding, and
maintaining accurate employee and contractor documentation. This
position works closely with employees, contractors, managers, and
external staffing partners. Responsibilities Oversee requisition
approval workflows for contractors. Schedule and coordinate
interviews for full-time and contractor positions across multiple
teams. Create purchase orders for agency fees as needed. Facilitate
the full-time and contractor onboarding process, including
preparing onboarding materials, coordinating start dates,
scheduling orientations, and ensuring timely completion of
necessary documentation. Manage Statement of Work (SOW) collection
and procurement approvals via Coupa for contractor onboarding and
extensions. Track contractor end dates and coordinate lifecycle
activities such as extensions, transitions, and offboarding.
Support offboarding processes for both employees and contractors,
including exit documentation and system access removal
coordination. Maintain accurate employee and contractor records and
assist with compliance audits. Provide general HR support for
employees and managers, including answering HR-related inquiries
and assisting with basic HR policies and procedures. Assist with HR
team scheduling, meetings, and coordination of internal HR
programs. Help coordinate employee engagement activities,
trainings, and internal events. Support the processing and
administration of HR-related documentation. Maintain accurate data
in HR systems including Workday and other internal tools. Run
reports, track HR metrics, and help ensure data integrity. Assist
with process improvement initiatives and documentation of HR
workflows. Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support the
HR Specialist during peak workloads. Provide support for HR
initiatives including employee communications, engagement efforts,
and system implementations. Take on additional responsibilities as
needed to support the HR team. Essential Skills 2 years of
experience in recruitment coordination and/or HR support.
Familiarity with employment law compliance, especially regarding
co-employment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to
manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface
with candidates, contractors, staffing agencies, and internal
teams. Proactive, self-motivated, problem-solving, resourceful
thinking, and able to work independently. Experience using Workday
(HRIS/ATS) and proficiency with MS Office or similar productivity
tools. High attention to detail with strong follow-up and accuracy
in task execution. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous
experience supporting contractor onboarding/offboarding processes
is a plus. Work Environment This role is based at our South San
Francisco headquarters and is required to be onsite 3-4 days per
week, offering a hybrid work environment. Job Type & Location This
is a Contract to Hire position based out of South San Francisco,
CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 -
$50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may
depend on your job classification and length of employment.
