Northern California and Hawaii. Our Corporate Office in Rohnert
Park Ca. location has an immediate opening for an experienced HR
Generalist that is motivated, organized, and enjoys a fast-paced
environment. This position will qualify for hybrid work from home
schedule. POSITION SUMMARY The People Generalist (PG) assists the
People Business Manager (PBM) in aligning human resource/ people
initiatives and functions with business objectives by engaging
employees and managers within designated branches, divisions,
departments. The position formulates partnerships across the human
resource function to deliver value-added service to management and
employees. The PG is responsible for completing a variety of
functions in the daily operations of the People Dpt and how it
aligns to the company culture. Stakeholder Management -- Assists
the PBM by handling questions, and helping resolve work-related
problems with employees. -- Consults with the PBM to provide human
resource guidance when appropriate. -- Assists the PBM to analyze
data and reports to identify and determine causes of employee
problems and develop recommendations for improvement of
organization's personnel policies and practices. -- Assists the PMB
in maintaining records and compiling statistical reports concerning
personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance
appraisals, and absenteeism rates. Employee Relations -- Serves as
first point of contact and partners with the PBM and employees on
routine inquiries and escalated issues. -- Communicates with the
PBM regarding any complex employee relations issues. Conducts
effective, thorough and objective investigations. -- Assists the
PBM in appropriately handling situations that include dealing with
refereeing disputes, termination of employees, administering
disciplinary procedures and addressing employee grievances. --
Maintains basic knowledge of legal requirements related to
day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and
ensuring regulatory compliance. Work with the respective functional
expert (People Business Manager, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards,
Talent Management, Data and Compliance) as needed/required. --
Assists with conducting exit interviews to identify reasons for
employee termination -- Assists the PMB to advise and train
managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and
strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee
grievances. Talent Acquisition -- Assists with designing job
descriptions / position profiles in partnership with hiring
managers and the Talent Acquisition team -- Partners with the
Talent Acquisition Manager and the Hiring Manager on non-exempt
candidate evaluation and selection Talent Development and Career
Management -- Conduct new employee orientation to foster positive
employee engagement. -- Educating new employees on HR Policies,
internal procedures and regulations. -- Assists with coordinating
performance management. Benefits Administration -- Assists the PBM
to communicate between benefits providers and employees, such as by
assisting in handling employees' benefits-related questions or
taking suggestions. -- Assists the PBM to conduct annual open
enrollment in all assigned branches, departments, divisions.
Performance Management -- Works closely with the PBM, management
and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and
increase productivity and retention. -- Assists with the
performance management process (introductory and annual) Policy
Implementation and Process Standardization -- Provides HR policy
guidance. Advise employees on organizational policy matters. --
Ensures the consistent implementation of People policies and
procedures. -- Research and recommend best practices. Policy
Communication -- Assists the PBM in updating assigned policies and
procedures to ensure that processes are current, competitive, and
in compliance with legal requirements while meeting company
objectives -- Works closely the PBM to share best practices,
provide assistance on critical needs and communicate on company
initiatives Individual Management -- Participates in weekly
check-in meetings with direct supervisor to ensure alignment and
support teamwork -- Identifies individual training needs and
recommends appropriate development plans -- Performs other duties
as required. QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience Highschool
diploma and Associates Degree Specific Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities At least 3 years related experience in at least 3 HR
functions Basic knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines,
federal and respective state employment laws. Ability to
comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of
applicable laws, guidelines and policies. Ability to acquire a
thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs,
qualifications and the administrative practices related to those
factors. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times
stressful environment. Computer proficiency and technical aptitude
with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel.
Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and proven
ability to meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written
communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service
skills in dealing with all levels in the organization. Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft
