Saturday involves inpatient care only, typically requiring about 2.5 hours of work. The position primarily focuses on outpatient care, with 90% of responsibilities in that area and 10% inpatient care. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment. For shorter assignments, they may cancel up to 3 shifts. In some cases, full hours may be paid for a particular shift instead of cancellation. The charting system utilized is Cerner.
