Pay: $2,295 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Great Opportunity with Movement for Life at their Central Coast of CA location-Lodi, CA (Hammer Lane). Awarded PrivatePractice of the Year by APTA. Summary/ physical therapist implements patient rehabilitationprograms to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength. Hold license as aPhysical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work Maintain and update PTskills and certifications as necessary Evaluate and treatpatients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs Utilize ElectronicMedical Record to complete evaluations, reports and discharge summaries forpatient files Guide & monitorpatient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up Supervise PT Assistantsand Aides regarding all aspects of patient care Communicate withphysicians and other persons to insure quality patient care Correspond withco-workers & other offices via phone, fax & email Be responsible foraccurate patient chart documentation & follow-up re: prescriptions, testresults, authorizations etc. Make sure patients arecomfortable and answer questions when necessary. Work closely with thefront office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow up. Have computer skillsnecessary to complete job requirements i.e. typing, Word, Internet, EMR, etc. Be able to makeindependent decisions regarding patient care Be involved in thebusiness marketing & referral process when necessary Be responsible forfollowing HIPAA policy & procedure Be familiar with PTbilling policy & procedure re: Medicare work-comp, private, auto, liens,cash pay etc. Be proficient in DX andICD-10 coding for the billing of services Be able to be physicalmobile, including a combination of stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standingfor 8-10 hour work days, based on patient care schedule. Be able to lift 50pounds and assist moving patients with mobility restraints, assist patientswith transferring, and providing stand by assistance and recovery with patientwalking safety. Supervisory position supervises PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patientcare. Work Environment: This position works in the patient physical therapy clinic anoutpatient/rehabilitation setting. Job Responsibilities Relatedto Patient Privacy: Expected to protect theprivacy of all patient information in accordance with the Company s privacypolicies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, andin accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health careprovider. Failure to comply with the Company s policies and procedures onpatient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and includingtermination of employment. May access protectedhealth information and other patient information only to the extent that isnecessary to complete job duties. May only share such information with thosewho have a need to know specific patient information in order to complete jobresponsibilities related to treatment, payment or other Company operations. Encouraged and expectedto report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding theCompany s policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practicesin violation of that policy to the designated Privacy Officer. Expected to activelyparticipate in Company privacy training. Required to communicateprivacy policy information to coworkers, students, patients and others inaccordance with Company policy. Comply with OSHA,federal and state regulations. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative ofthose that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentialfunctions of this job. The position walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts and movescontinually during working hours. The position is subject to lifting objectsweighing over 50 pounds, pushing wheel chairs, and transporting and supportingresidents. The employee must be constantly alert for resident safety. Travel Notravel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience Degreein Physical Therapy. Preferred Education and Experience ContinuingEducation courses.
