School-Based (Part-Time) Location: New Windsor, NY Schedule: 2 Days
per Week with Flexible Scheduling Options Duration: Full Semester
2025-2026 School Year An opportunity is available for a skilled
Physical Therapist to provide specialized school-based services to
K-12 students in a supportive educational environment in New
Windsor, New York. This part-time contract position offers a
flexible schedule with the goal of enhancing student mobility and
functional independence aligned with educational plans. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy services according to
Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and New York State
Education Department (NYSED) guidelines Assess, evaluate, and
design individualized treatment plans for students to improve
strength, coordination, and daily functional skills Collaborate
closely with educators, school staff, families, and
multidisciplinary team members to support student success
Participate actively in Committee on Special Education (CSE)
meetings, offering expert recommendations Maintain detailed
documentation and progress reports that meet district and DOE
compliance standards Facilitate students ability to apply motor
skills across learning and social settings Qualifications and
Experience: Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an
accredited program Current NY State Physical Therapy License or
eligibility to obtain licensure Previous experience in school-based
or pediatric settings is highly desirable Knowledge of CSE
procedures and DOE requirements preferred Strong interpersonal
communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Benefits
