Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: CT/X-Ray Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Day, Evening 8 hr days/PMs, EOW, First to Float Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: CA license required Certifications: BLS, ARRT-CT, ARRT-R, Fluoroscopy Must-Have: CT and X-Ray experience. Required certifications and a California license. Description: Must have experience in CT and X-Ray. The unit has 2 scanners: Siemens Sensation 64 and GE 16 Light Speed. The average number of scans is 10-20 depending on the shift. Evenings are the busiest shifts. The charting system used is Cerner and McKesson PACS. Holidays have the same hours as weekends and will work into the rotation. No radiologist coverage is available 24/7, and Nighthawk is utilized for night shifts. Common diagnoses include ER patients, virtual colonography, and gated procedures. General CT experience is also required. The facility has a radiology-specific orientation for floating. Cancellations can occur for up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. Scrub color is teal. Hospitalist or intensivist is available on-site. No BSN required.
