the planet. This position will play an integral role in supporting
our business objectives of growing our botanical wellness product
portfolio via brand education, product education and social
commerce support, as well as living our Purpose by providing herbal
education, and communicating our efforts to positively impact
people and planet. - -What will you be doing?The Social Media
Specialist will own our entire organic social media experience from
strategy to execution and will be an impactful voice on paid
activity including social advertising and influencer programs. They
will establish and implement social media strategy and direct &
personally develop creative content that achieves targeted goals.
They will be the face and voice of the brand, bringing to life the
"Herbalist Next Door" and embodying the spirit of health and
wellness via creative copywriting and visual content. This person
should be comfortable tracking and analyzing performance as well
and working with the Community Care team to foster positive
community engagement, leverage UGC and utilize social listening
tools to follow real-time content trends, respond to current events
and cultural moments, and deliver key business insights to the
greater organization.Essential Functions
Lead and manage the day-to-day
responsibilities for Traditional Medicinals social media channels
including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and
YouTube. Apply and develop social media processes and
procedures.Manage resources and timelines necessary to support
initiatives. Develop content calendars - balancing the needs of
multiple stakeholders.Proactively connect with internal
stakeholders and build relationships to ensure various messaging
priorities are met.Utilize enterprise technologies such as
Monday.com to streamline project management, foster creative
brainstorming, manage content calendars, and bring transparency to
upcoming planned content for cross-functional usage.Create, copy
edit, ensure DSHEA compliance, and publish quality social media
content to achieve targeted audience actions and business
objectives.Collaborate with in-house and external content creators
to subsidize content creation.Work with Creative Team to generate
relevant and on-brand content.Act as the face of our herbal
identity by producing herbal education content and appearing in
front of camera.Inspire, review and curate user-generated content
on social media platforms. - Collaborate with and provide guidance
for Community Care team who monitors community sentiment,
reactively and proactively engages with audiences, resolves
consumer complaints and supports product safety.Leverage tools such
as RivalIQ to monitor competitive landscape; apply learnings to
social strategy and mine for business insights relevant to greater
team. Partner with Community Care team to develop cohesive Social
Listening strategy. Closely follow the rapidly-evolving social
media landscape, adjusting strategy and social presence to set
realistic benchmarks, leverage new tools, technologies and
algorithm changes.Ensure that social profiles are optimized for
best performance.Track and analyze social metrics on a monthly
basis to improve the Social Media, Listening & Community Care
strategy, and gain insight into audience demographics and
effectiveness of social media campaigns.

Previous experience in leading and
managing multiple social media channels including Facebook,
Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube. Ability to
apply and develop social media processes and procedures.Proven
project management skills with ability to stay organized and drive
deadlines.Experienced in developing performance-driven social
strategies and driving results.Previous experience in developing
content calendars which balance needs of cross-functional
partners.Skilled copywriter and editor with light photography,
videography and app-based editing abilities.Ability to creatively
story tell and embody the voice of the herbalist next door in a
genuine and engaging way.Proficiency in project management
platforms such as Monday.com.Ability to work cross-functionally
within the organization.Previous experience as the face of an
organization across multiple social media platforms, often times
appearing in front of camera.Ability to inspire, review and curate
user-generated content on social media platforms. - Experience
- 5+ years experience in social media and community management,
preferably with large, active communities. Broad experience
including social advertising, content development, community
monitoring and response.Education
College and/or University Bachelor's
Degree or comparable experience in a professional
setting.Knowledge/Abilities/Skills
- Proven experience as a performance-driven social media
expert.
- Strong writing, communications, and storytelling skills.
- Skilled copywriter who can also contribute to marketing email
shared content.Strong understanding of and technical skills in
social channels such as Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn,
TikTok, and YouTube. Understanding of social media best
practices.Working knowledge of how to leverage the latest social
management tools.
- Hands-on experience developing social media content and ability
to direct content creation partners.
- Photography, video and app-based content editing skills. Stays
updated with evolving social storytelling, strategy, and analytics
tactics.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the
ability to present a strong rationale for decisions.Charismatic and
comfortable in front of camera.Nature lover and/or
plant-inspired.Ability to work with cross-functional teams to
discuss requirements and/or project progress.
- Possess the flexibility to monitor social media on evenings and
weekends during crisis response.High level of proficiency in
Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Preferred
Skills
- Herbalism training preferred.
- Work history at a CPG brand in the herbal or health & wellness
industry.
- Experience with in-platform social ad management tools.
- Experienced in utilizing social listening, scheduling and
analytics software such as Sprout Social and RivalIQ.
- Familiarity or experience in DSHEA-compliant language.
- Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Monday.com
-Travel Requirements (if any): Occasional special events,
nationwide.Work Environment
This position is based in Rohnert
Park, CA. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm.
This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility to occasionally work
remotely. Expected in-office days are Tuesday and Thursday. Subject
to change.This position operates in a professional open cubical
office environment. Physical/Mental Requirements:
Will be required to communicate with
others frequently and routinely use a computer and standard office
equipment. Ability to sit for prolonged periods.The employee is
occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms;
and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally

$79,200 - $103, 950 per yearCompensation is determined based on
