Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid) Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2
days remote) Type: 9-month contract Compensation: $45-$55/hour
(DOE) Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Senior
General Ledger Accountant to support core accounting operations
with a strong focus on general ledger ownership and month-end
close. This role is ideal for a hands-on accountant who thrives in
a fast-paced environment, has strong GAAP knowledge, and can
independently manage reconciliations, journal entries, and
financial reporting activities. CPA is not required. Key
Responsibilities Own and maintain the general ledger, ensuring
accuracy and compliance with GAAP Prepare and review complex
journal entries and supporting documentation Perform month-end and
quarter-end close activities, including account reconciliations
Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts; investigate
and resolve variances Assist with preparation of internal and
external financial reports Support audits by preparing schedules
and responding to auditor inquiries Partner with Finance and
cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data Identify
opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies
Assist with ad hoc projects, clean-up work, and system enhancements
as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,
or related field 5-8 years of general ledger or corporate
accounting experience CPA not required Strong understanding of GAAP
and full-cycle accounting Proven experience with month-end close
and balance sheet reconciliations Experience working with ERP
systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar preferred) Advanced
Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) Strong
attention to detail with excellent organizational and
time-management skills Ability to work independently and meet
deadlines in a deadline-driven environment Nice to Have Experience
in a mid-size or large corporate environment Prior contract or
project-based accounting experience Exposure to system
