SUMMARYThe Sr. Financial Analyst, FP&A performs a variety of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, conducting research and preparing analysis using automated systems and tools in collaboration with business partners across the organization to promote growth aligned with company strategies and targets.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPartner with business leaders to prepare 3-year operating plans, annual budget and LE (forecast) updates, identifying areas of risk and opportunityLead FP&A support for business leaders within the Sales, Marketing, R&D, Innovation and G&A functions to recognize and solve complex business problems through financial and statistical analyses, providing comprehensive financial expertise to improve enterprise financial performanceProvide Director, FP&A and other finance leaders feedback and communication regarding variations between plan and actual results, including the projected impact to future results throughout the reporting cycle, timely updates, expert analysis and responses to inquiriesPartner with finance team members to prepare, analyze and communicate financial profitability through monthly communications to executive leadership teamAssist in creation and delivery of enhanced management reports / dashboards / KPI's which allow business partners to better understand the business and make improved decisionsEnsure appropriate methods are in place to accurately track, forecast and analyze the enterprise wide strategic initiatives to aid the business in making critical, time-sensitive decisionsUse and create financial models, systems and software to complete tasks and reduce process complexities to simplify business interactions.Become a subject matter expert and report designer in Workday Adaptive PlanningDevelop strong working relationships to finance and business partners, collaborating to ensure a collegial, productive and effective team environmentOther duties as assignedSupervision of StaffNo direct reports or direct budgetary oversightREQUIREMENTSExperience/EducationBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceStrong background and exposure to all areas of finance (such as FP&A, controllership, accounting, tax, treasury) preferredMinimum five years' progressive finance experience in a comparable environmentExperience presenting to executive leadershipExperience with the scope of duties listed in the job descriptionKnowledge/Abilities/SkillsAbility to review, prepare, and analyze financial, statistical and analytical reports and metrics and translate them into operational goalsAbility to identify financial performance trends, anticipate impacts, explain variances and recommend solutionsAbility to naturally analyze, prioritize, and synthesize all types of information to allow consistent, timely and effective business impactStrong team player with the ability to build partnerships, problem solve, influence decisions and work in a collaborative styleForward-thinking in implementing tools and techniques to improve analytics to drive better business decisionsAbility to use, develop and create detailed / automated financial modelsStrong working knowledge of GAAPProficient in extracting and interpreting data from ERP and planning systemsExcellent organization skills, attention to detailDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, exercise discretion, and display good judgementAbility to effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesQuick learner and quick thinker, good at brainstormingSelf-starter requiring limited task supervisionProcess-oriented thinking with an eye toward improvements whenever possibleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsCommitment to and ability to demonstrate TM's Company values: humility, respect, quality, collaboration, innovation and sustainabilityTechnical Skills:Proficient with accounting and ERP systems such as Dynamics AX and Office 365Advanced level skills with MS Office Excel (queries, macros and advanced pivot tables) and proficient with MS Office SuiteSkilled with financial planning / management reporting systems (Adaptive Planning, Hyperion, Cognos, etc.) including design and implementationPrevious experience in CPG firms a plusTravel Requirements (if any)Occasional overnight travel to conferences / seminars or other company locations may be requiredTravel to and from the Rohnert Park, CA offices and Sebastopol, CA offices for work purposesOffice Hours/Location:This position is based in Rohnert Park, CA. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5:00 pm. This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility to occasionally work remotely. Expected in-offices days are Tuesday and Thursday.
