Description You could grow your career with a thriving company in the Engineering field, in this Accounting Clerk position available through Robert Half. You could handle matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), as the Accounting Clerk for this reputable business. This permanent Accounting Clerk position is located in the Rohnert Park, California, area. What you get to do every single day
- Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing
- Resolve discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; generate correction documents as required
- Assist Accounts Receivable with processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and collecting past due balances
- Assist with other related duties and special projects as assigned
- Use knowledge of expenditure codes and accounting codes to accurately code documents
- Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
- Utilize a number of sources to create statements and reports
- Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers Requirements - Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required
- Command of Bank Account Reconciliation
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Foundational knowledge in data entry
- Bank reconciliations experience
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- SAP experience
- 2+ years of accounting experience required
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
